Hello, I’m Hae Sun Hong, the founder, director, and filmmaker behind HHS Theater.
As the granddaughter of Hong Hae-seong, a pioneer of modern Korean theater, I established this theater as a stage through which I could carry on his legacy and connect with the world.
With a simple yet profound belief – that a small performance on a humble stage can touch someone’s heart – HHS Theater first lit its lights on June 1, 2023.
We invited those who often stand farthest from the arts – orphans, children in care, and the elderly living alone – and through those performances, we came to realize: “Art can truly be a form of healing.”
Welcome to Vegas (in submission to international film festivals)
Born Again Korea (in post-production)
Love Me Tender (in post-production)
Our fourth project, St. Butterfly, is now in pre-production.
Our Vision HHS Theater is not just a theater – it’s a platform for creation.
It’s more than a place where films are made; it’s a space where we hope to connect with people around the world, to share stories, and to reflect the sincerity of life through art.
Looking ahead, we aim to grow into a vibrant cultural hub where performers, creators, and audiences breathe together, share emotions, and engage through meaningful artistic experiences.
We remain committed to art that speaks for life – on both stage and screen – carrying forward that spirit with every work we create.
Thank you.
Hae Sun Hong
